Flourless Chocolate Cake

Baby T is one lucky lady because she has one {fun, silly, crazy, loving, awesome} dad! And I feel so lucky to have Tyson as a husband! He does SO much to support our family! So for Father's day T and I decided to do a little something special for our favorite guy--flourless chocolate cake! This is one decadent chocolate dessert for hard-core chocolate lovers only! (If you were wondering we are hard-core!) Serve it up with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

P.S. This is a great dessert for those who don't tolerate wheat or gluten!

1/3 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
12.5 oz bittersweet chocolate
2/3 c. butter (at room temperature)
4 eggs

Directions: Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F. Grease one 8 inch springform pan.

In a small saucepan over medium heat combine the water and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and set aside.

In a double boiler (or microwave) melt the chocolate. In a mixing bowl combine the chocolate and butter. Next add the sugar-water. Finally add the eggs one at a time. Mix until smooth.

Pour the batter into your prepared pan. and bake for 35 to 38 minutes. The center will look slightly wet when finished. Chill the cake at least 6 hours. Serve cold or heat for 15 to 20 seconds in the microwave (I like mine warm... its AH-MAZING). Don't forget the whipped cream or ice cream on the side!
